Job summary

Watershed Security, a Veteran Owned Small Business, seeks a hands-on Unix/Linux Systems Administrator to support NSWCDD onsite in Dahlgren, VA. Three+ years of professional UNIX/Linux administration, with backup, security, hardware installation, and performance tuning experience, are required. Active DoD Top Secret clearance is mandatory.

Salary range offered is $60,000–$65,000 USD, with benefits including medical/dental, 401K, PTO, and paid holidays. Contingent upon award.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of UNIX/Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience with system backup and recovery; basic software management; security management and library management.
• Experience with installation and configuration of hardware; operating systems in different environments; sizing and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain UNIX/Linux systems and networks in a DoD environment.
• Manage backups, security configurations, and software library management.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues and optimize resource allocation.
