Qualifications

• Requires basic grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple math like percentages or ratios.
• Minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.

• Requires technical certification or licensing related to the job as specified in the description addendum.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on university vehicles: oil changes, filters, tires, lubrication.
• Performs general maintenance: engine tune-ups, brake relining, shock/bearing replacements, exhaust repairs.
• Maintains 36-, 48-, and 72-volt electric utility vehicles including battery tests and drive system diagnostics.
• Uses computerized equipment to diagnose vehicle system problems.
• May tow or start disabled vehicles and test vehicles after repairs.
• May be assigned to special task forces during emergencies.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
