Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking a part-time Utility Worker to support kitchen and facility operations at EDWARD WATERS UNIVERSITY. You will help maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across food production and service areas, and assist with basic setup and breakdown tasks as directed.

The role requires nothing beyond a High School diploma or equivalent; you will be trained on sanitation procedures and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No related work experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and basic food safety.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Remove trash to designated areas.
• Clean equipment with proper chemicals to maintain sanitation.
• Restock supplies such as soap and towels.
• Significant walking or mobility required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally 50.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time.
• Other duties may be assigned.
