Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a part-time Utility Worker to support kitchen and facility operations in South Carolina State University. The role involves maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across food production and service areas.

You will handle dishwashing, surface sanitation, floor care, and basic setup tasks, with shifting hours and open availability. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, no prior experience required, and knowledge of sanitation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and basic concepts of food safety.
• Ability to walk/stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work varying shifts and open availability for interviews and placement.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes by hand or in a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize tables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, clean, and vacuum floors; remove trash to designated areas.
• Restock supplies and ensure sanitary cleanliness across work areas.
• Assist with basic set-up and break-down tasks as directed.
