Our Opportunity




We are currently seeking a University Recruiting and Events Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This position is located in our Menlo Park, CA office and requires regular time in the office. In this position, you will play a critical role in our efforts to identify and recruit talented Ph.D. level engineers and scientists for consulting positions within Exponent, as well as non-consulting roles supporting our various teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to many areas of the university recruiting, talent acquisition, and HR worlds. Some of your core job responsibilities will be supporting our many recruiting events, scheduling interviews, owning the reporting of our key metrics, preparing presentations for corporate meetings, and leading recruiting efforts for some of our non-consulting roles. You will play an integral role in facilitating company growth within an international firm. You will be responsible for




  • Supporting our robust recruiting program, spanning 100+ universities and conferences
  • Managing our recruiting event schedule, registering for events, and coordinating event logistics, including the shipping of event materials
  • Following up with candidates after events and ensuring that they are shared with our internal teams for review
  • Aiding in the tracking and reporting of key metrics related to our recruiting events
  • Working alongside a diverse and dynamic team of recruiters to identify and recruit exceptional talent across a variety of technical disciplines, including the ownership of recruiting for some of our non-consulting roles
  • Conducting video screens with candidates to assess behavioral competences
  • Maintaining accurate records of recruiting activity in our applicant tracking system (iCIMS) and capturing interview activity
  • Scheduling interviews
  • Managing our presence on LinkedIn, Handshake, and other job boards
  • Generating and distributing recruiting reports
  • Preparing reports and slide decks for corporate meetings
  • Actively participating in weekly recruiting team meetings
  • Collaborating with engineers and scientists across all practices
  • Communicating in a friendly, professional, and inclusive manner with candidates
  • Supporting the recruiting team with projects and initiatives as needed
  • Adhering to a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Traveling to and participating in local recruiting events (occasionally)





You will have the following skills and qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • Proficiency with Excel and an interest in learning more (required)
  • At least two years of experience in recruiting coordination, recruiting operations, or a university specific events management role (required)
  • Enthusiastic and able to work full-time (M-F) out of our Menlo Park, CA office (required)
  • Previous experience in project, program or event management (preferred)
  • Experience using iCIMS, our applicant tracking system (preferred)
  • Experience building dashboards and reporting on key metrics (preferred)
  • Ability to effectively communicate information in person and in writing
  • A detail-oriented and highly organized work style
  • Ability to multi-task, navigate changing situations, and take ownership of events and projects
  • An interest in working as part of a dynamic team of HR professionals
  • Strong initiative and drive to develop professionally and grow within the firm
