Job summary

ECPI University seeks a Financial Assistance Advisor to provide financial aid support and advising services to incoming and existing students at the Greensboro, NC campus. The role oversees daily processing flow and communicates updates to assigned students within the Financial Aid Office.

Advisors must build strong relationships with students to support their educational goals and use analytical skills to guide through the aid process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of related experience.
• Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Advises students about methods to pay for their education and financial aid eligibility.
• Collects and analyzes financial data to determine eligibility and makes awards within guidelines.
• Evaluates unusual circumstances and adjusts costs or need as exceptions to the process.
• Answers questions from students, parents, or guardians regarding financial aid programs and eligibility.
• Analyzes reports to verify continued eligibility and notify students of changes.
• Interfaces with students, lenders, employers, and staff to resolve concerns.
