Job Description

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Weber StateUniversity invites applications for a tenure-track assistantprofessor starting July 1, 2027. We seek a person with teachingexperience and expertise in organic chemistry.

Job Duties
  • Teach undergraduate organic chemistry lectures and labs, aswell as other courses based on the candidate's interest/expertiseand department needs
  • Establish an active and sustained research program with anemphasis on engaging undergraduate students in organicchemistry.
  • Serve on department, college, and university committees.
Required Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field.ABD candidates considered if the degree is completed before July2027.

  • Proven dedication to excellence in teaching at theundergraduate level.
