Job summary

Hope's Creek Retirement Living in United States is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team. The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our residents.

Hours 7:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for nights and weekends. This full-time role offers benefits and opportunities to contribute to residents' daily living and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• At least 1 year of healthcare/in-home care experience preferred.
• Willing to work nights and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and daily living support.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility and accompany to appointments or activities.
• Plan and prepare meals for residents.
• Complete shopping or accompany residents to stores.
• Perform housekeeping duties and ensure safety.
• Report incidents promptly and respond to emergencies.
• Support residents with meals and related daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctors appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete clients shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
• Supportive and compassionate
• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
