Job summary

Hireology is seeking a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team in Evansville, IN. The right candidate will provide personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep, light housekeeping, and one-on-one companionship to aging adults.

You will work with families to ensure safety, report incidents promptly, and support daily living activities. A valid driver's license and prior in-home care experience are preferred; 18+ required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance and support basic needs (showering, dressing, eating).
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments or outings.
• Plan and prepare meals and assist with daily living activities.
• Perform light housekeeping and shopping support.
• Report incidents promptly and act during emergencies.
• Offer activities essential for daily living and companionship.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remindclients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards

• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver

• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
