Job summary

MSGCU in Michigan is seeking a Branch Service Specialist (Universal Banker) to deliver exceptional member service and perform teller transactions. You will listen to member needs, ask questions, and cross-sell MSGCU products to build loyal relationships.

Responsibilities include processing loan applications, opening memberships and IRAs, setting up automated services, and supporting Call Center as needed. You will balance drawers and follow service standards to ensure accurate, friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; and
• 6 months teller experience in a financial institution or as a retail sales representative/cashier; and
• Either 2 years retail sales experience, or Associate degree preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting or Finance, or 1 year of member/customer facing experience within financial services.

Responsibilities

• Member service responsibilities include processing loan applications, opening new memberships, opening IRAs, setting up automated services and supporting Call Center as needed.
• Effectively explains ownership options and eligibility requirements for membership and ensures all paperwork, documentation, and signatures are completed accurately as required.
• Teller responsibilities include accurately completing teller transactions, balancing drawer, and balancing at end of day; cashing checks, processing deposits/withdrawals, loan payments, and account maintenance.
