Job summary

North Jersey Federal Credit Union is seeking a friendly Member Relationship Specialist to join our Elmwood Park-area team. The role centers on providing exceptional service, handling teller transactions and cash vault tasks, and promoting credit union products and services.

You will collaborate with the operations and sales team to achieve loan, membership, and deposit growth. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, provide operational support, and ensure accurate, compliant service

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cash handling.
• At least 1 year of teller experience in a financial institution.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience.
• At least 2 years of sales experience in a financial institution with individual sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to members.
• Meet or exceed monthly referral and sales goals for loans, membership, and deposits.
• Process teller transactions accurately and timely (deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, etc.).
• Process and validate coin and currency for cash shipments.
• Assist with opening/closing, ATM/TCR balancing, and vault duties.
• Process member service transactions for savings, checking, CDs, IRAs, and loans.
• Process new account openings and loan applications with proper documentation.
• Maintain knowledge of current products and services and communicate options.
• Cross-sell credit union products and services by analyzing credit reports.
