Job summary

North Jersey Federal Credit Union Inc. seeks a Member Relationship Specialist for the Elmwood Park branch. This full-time role (30-39 hours) focuses on delivering outstanding service, processing transactions, and supporting loan and deposit growth.

You will handle teller duties, open new accounts, cross-sell credit union products, and maintain current product knowledge while meeting monthly goals in a fast-paced financial environment in Elmwood Park, NJ.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of cash handling experience.
• At least 1 year of teller experience in a financial institution.
• At least 2 years of customer service experience.
• At least 2 years of sales experience in a financial institution with individual sales goals

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional service to members.
• Meet or exceed monthly referral and sales goals for loans, membership, and deposit growth.
• Process teller transactions accurately and timely (deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, check cashing, negotiables).
• Validate coin and currency amounts for cash shipments.
• Process assigned reports and duties accurately and timely.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures, balancing ATM/TCR, cash box, coin machine, vault, etc.
• Process member service transactions on savings, checking, certificates, IRAs, loans, etc.
• Open new accounts accurately and timely.
• Maintain knowledge of Credit Union products and services.
• Understand member transaction needs and communicate options.
• Evaluate member needs and offer appropriate financial products and services.
• Process in-person and electronic loan applications with required documents.
• Explain loan processes, options, insurance requirements, loan policies, rates, payoffs.
• Cross-sell/educate on Credit Union products by analyzing credit bureau reports.
• Comply with current Credit Union policies and procedures.
