Job summary

North Jersey Federal Credit Union is seeking a motivated Member Relationship Specialist (Universal Banker) in Newark, NJ. You will conduct teller and cash vault transactions, and work with the sales team to grow loans, membership, and deposits while delivering exceptional member service.

You will maintain knowledge of products and promotions, process loan applications, and cross-sell services to meet individual and team targets.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of cash handling experience.
At least 1 year of teller experience in a financial institution.
At least 2 years of customer service experience.
At least 2 years of sales experience in a financial institution with individual sales goals.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional service to members.
Meet or exceed monthly referral and sales goals for loans, membership, and deposit growth.
Process teller transactions accurately and timely (deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, check cashing, etc.).
Validate coin and currency amounts for cash shipments.
Assist with opening/closing procedures, ATM balancing, and vault operations.
Process member service transactions across accounts (savings, checking, certificates, IRAs, loans).
Process new account openings professionally and promptly.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of credit union products and services.
Communicate options clearly based on member needs and explain loan processes.
