Andover State Bank is seeking a Universal Banker to join our Andover team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, opening and maintaining accounts, processing transactions, and building lasting relationships with individuals and businesses.

You will handle consumer and small business needs, cross-sell products, and assist customers with online banking while ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank policies.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent and customer service skills.
• 2-5 years of banking experience.
• Strong knowledge of bank operating procedures, practices and policies.
• Experience with consumer and business account opening and documentation.
• Comfortable and experienced with customer outreach (email, phone calls) with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Open/maintain consumer and commercial accounts, CDs, IRAs, and other banking products.
• Provide consultative customer service, identify financial needs, and cross-sell products.
• Conduct outbound calls and personalized follow-ups to grow customer relationships and deposits.
• Assist customers with online/mobile banking and general inquiries.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to bank policies and regulations.
• Provide back up support to front-line and process daily teller transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open and maintain consumer and commercial accounts, CDs, IRAs, and other banking products.
• Provide consultative customer service, identify financial needs, and cross-sell products.
• Conduct outbound calls and personalized follow-ups to grow customer relationships and deposits.
• Assist customers with online/mobile banking and general inquiries.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all bank policies and regulations.
• Provide back up support to front-line and process daily teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers, as needed.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

Requires a high school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent and customer service skills.

2-5 years of banking experience.

Strong knowledge of bank operating procedures, practices and policies.

Experience with consumer and business account opening and documentation.

Comfortable and experienced with customer outreach (email, phone calls) with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)

Ability to maintain confidentiality, use tact and diplomacy; maintain professional dress and demeanor.

Ability to use considerable judgment and initiative to resolve problems and make recommendations.

Availability:

Available to work any shift between the operating hours of 7:45AM to 6:00PM Monday through Friday and between 8:30AM to12:00PM on rotating Saturdays.
