Summary

Provides high quality customer service by meeting the needs of customers in an efficient and friendly manner while servicing transactions and handling needs assessment and new account opening. The candidate must be enthusiastic about developing and maintaining relationships with customers to achieve banking center and individual sales goals and objectives.

Specific Job Duties

1. Acts as the first point of contact for customers, recognizing and uncovering opportunities to contribute to the success of the banking center.
2. Responsible for activities including transaction processing, new account sales, customer servicing, and referral generation.
3. Sells and cross-sells bank products to support sales objectives and campaigns.
4. Assists with day-to-day transactions, including transaction approval, report preparation, issue resolution, and responding to customer inquiries.
5. Ensures compliance with bank policies and regulations.
6. Maintains knowledge of security policies and client confidentiality.
7. Supports credit functions by updating loan data and gathering documentation.
8. Ensures proper documentation in loan files and responds to inquiries regarding loans.
9. Refers leads on loans, deposits, and other services to specialists.
10. Participates in training related to sales, service, compliance, and products.
11. Assists in maintaining branch lending policies and represents the bank in community affairs.

Job Requirements

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Minimum of two years of personal banking or teller experience with emphasis on customer service.
3. Two years of loan experience preferred.
4. Basic knowledge of bank deposits, lending, and credit products.
5. Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
6. Problem-solving skills and experience with teller systems and new account opening.
