Join to apply for the Universal Banker - Float role at First Horizon Bank.

Location: On site at the location listed in the job posting, as well as other area Banking Centers as needed.

Provide quality, accurate, and timely customer service involving daily processing of financial transactions and opening accounts in a retail banking environment. Introduce bank products and services through outreach to prospects and provide tailored recommendations to existing clients to deepen relationships. Perform related duties, such as outbound sales calls, to achieve banking center goals (meet/exceed sales and referral goals), and support banking center management.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Sales and service

• Provide both teller and platform support as needed to minimize client wait times and ensure quality customer service. Teller support includes processing financial transactions such as deposits, currency handling, and check cashing. Platform support includes opening checking and savings accounts, and providing other deposit services.
• Identify client needs through consultative conversations and recommend appropriate products and services.
• Open and process new demand and time deposit accounts, including savings accounts, IRAs, certificates of deposit, and money market accounts.
• Cross-sell and refer clients to bank partners to generate new business and deepen existing relationships.
• Conduct outbound calls to clients and prospects, including during special deposit/loan campaigns.
• Assist clients with loan applications for personal/retail needs and coordinate processing with the appropriate associate.

Client Experience

• Research and resolve issues, respond to inquiries about account status.
• Deliver excellent client experiences and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• Enhance knowledge through attending relevant meetings, training, and online learning.

Compliance and risk management

• Ensure compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, risk management, internal controls, and the First Horizon code of ethics.

Operational efficiency

• Assist with daily operations and audit controls.
• Support training of new associates.
• Stay informed of operational updates and changes to ensure compliance.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 1 year of teller experience preferred. Must pass background and credit checks, comply with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008, and meet ongoing employment requirements.
