Job Description
Provides administrative coordinator support to the Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology. Serves as a liaison between the Division, the Pediatric Business Office, and other departments within MUSC. Schedules appointments and meetings in alignment with the clinic schedule, manages clinic templates, supports provider onboarding, submits leave requests, arranges travel and ground transportation for conferences, and procurement of non-clinical supplies.
MUSC Minimum Training And Experience Requirements
A high school diploma and four years relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services; or a bachelor's degree and two years experience in business management, public administration or administrative services.
Job Duties
35% - Medical and clinical services preparation: Collaborates closely with the patient access center, acute/ambulatory care teams, and other staff to manage the patient scheduling and appointment process. Assist in scheduling appointments in collaboration with clinical staff.
30% - Prepare documents, letters, and reports as requested, and maintain organized files for important and confidential materials. Manage the procurement and distribution of patient medical record information as requested by Division faculty. Continuously optimize administrative processes, utilizing resources effectively to uphold high standards of customer service.
20% - Coordinate and prepare Division-related purchases from various funding sources, adhering to the procurement guidelines established by MUSC and MISC Physicians. Facilitate vendor setup and process payments, ensuring compliance with State and USC procurement regulations, policies, and procedures. Responsible for completing expense reports for assigned clinicians.
10% - Responsible for recording minutes and tracking action items for Division faculty in appointed meetings/committees.
5% - Other duties as assigned.
