Job summary

Phoenixville Hospital, part of Tower Health, is seeking a Unit Support Coordinator to assist the nursing unit by handling clerical tasks, assembling patient records, answering calls, and coordinating supplies under supervision of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities include greeting patients and families, orienting them to the unit, and supporting unit leaders by sharing pertinent information. Earned Time Off and education assistance are part of benefits.

Qualifications

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• EPIC experience is preferred and Scheduling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble patient records and handle clerical tasks.
• Answer phones and patient calls; assist unit staff.
• Order and ensure delivery of supplies; manage timekeeping via Kronos.
• Welcome new patients and families; orient to unit areas.
• Answer call lights; disseminate information to staff as needed.

• The unit support coordinator provides guests information, as well as, supports the efforts of the unit staff.
• The unit support coordinator performs designated duties under the supervision of a professional nurse in addition to handling clerical and specific administrative tasks for the nursing unit.
• This includes assembling patient records, answering phones and patient calls. Other duties include ordering and ensuring delivery of supplies, timekeeping via Kronos, welcome of new patients and families to the unit, orientation to patient / family areas of the unit, answering call lights, and other related functions as needed.
• Additionally, the unit support coordinator can assist the unit leaders in disseminating pertinent information to the staff.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8A-430P or 8:30A-5PM, no weekends or holidays
