The Unit Supervisor provides leadership that embodies Everstand core values and works to maintain a Trauma Responsive Environment. The Unit Supervisor is versed in Everstand's Theory of Change and implements Everstand policies and procedures to support a safe and nurturing treatment environment. The Unit Supervisor effectively works as a leader on the interdisciplinary team and provides coaching and support to Youth Care Professionals.

What is the LOTUS Program?

Our specialized Lotus Program offers holistic, high-intensity treatment for young females aged 14-20 who meet (or are at risk of meeting) the profile of Commercially Sexually Exploited Children as defined by the State of Maryland.

Do I need any prior experience?

Required Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree in a related field with 1 year of supervisory or management experience in a related field

Preferred Education and Experience

A Master's degree in a related field with 2 year of supervisory or management experience in a related field

One year experience in providing direct services to children / youth and families

What does a Unit Supervisor do specifically?

• Model and act in accordance with Everstand's core values : safety, empathy, relationships, and impact.

• Learn and implement evidence-based practices selected by the organization, which may include attending on- or off-site training, committing to delivery of the practice as expected by Everstand, following practice guidelines with fidelity, and engaging in fidelity monitoring.
• Contributes to the prevention and management of challenging behaviors by implementing the Everstand's behavior management and therapeutic crisis intervention techniques.
• Promotes effective communication through the timely submission of documentation and weekly team meetings.
• Serve on the Interdisciplinary Care Team for each youth served and working collaboratively with various internal and external partners.
• Provides transportation for residents as required.
• On a rotating basis, provides effective campus supervision by fulfilling campus supervisory responsibilities at least once per week; this can include overnight and / or weekend shifts.
• Develop daily individualized structure that is tailored to meet the unique needs of a high acuity population, consistent with the age and level of functioning of each resident.
• Promote life skills programming to assist youth towards stabilization and self-regulation as a primary outcome.
• Incorporate a menu of evidence supported group modalities aimed at teaching youth the relational, stress tolerance and impulse control skills needed to be successful in a lesser restrictive environment will be embedded into the daily programming for the unit.
• Ensures that the staff to resident ratio is adequate and consistent with Everstand policy and unit needs. Provide coverage / be part of ratio as necessary to maintain the stated ratio.
• Ensures accurate medication administration, documentation, and safe storage of medication in accordance with the guidelines of the State of Maryland's Medication Administration.
• Provides support and accountability to Youth Care Professionals through modeling and coaching, frequent guidance sessions and progressive discipline as needed.
• Obtain and maintain certification as a "user" in Everstand's electronic health record software system.

What shifts would I work? Are full-time positions available?

This is a full-time position, in person position based out of our Reisterstown, MD LOTUS House.

Days and hours of work are dependent on the operational need and confirmed by the program supervisor. Monday through Friday 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm. Each Supervisor is expected to work a late evening shift. This position requires flexible work hours to include evening and weekend hours. This position is eligible for flex schedule, per Everstand Policy and Procedures. This position is essential for inclement weather events.

What does the benefits package look like?

• Base compensation begins at $50,382.59 yearly and goes up commensurate with experience. The recruitment team can help provide a more accurate compensation estimate during the phone interview.
