Description:

At Saint Francis Hospital, the Unit Secretary is responsible for coordinating patient flow on the unit and providing clerical support to the team.

What you will do

1. Coordinate patient flow on the unit
2. Process patient orders
3. Prepare and disassemble patient charts
4. Prepare forms and documents required for patient care
5. Communicate unit-related and patient-related needs to other departments and healthcare team members
6. Request and obtain supplies and equipment
7. Answer phones and greet visitors

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Business school or an Associate Degree in Business is preferred.
• Certification: Certification as a Healthcare Unit Coordinator (HUC) is preferred.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background checks
