Job description

Responsibilities:
  1. Support the nurse manager with reports, data, and special assignments.
  2. Transcribe physician orders for medications, diets, treatments, etc.
  3. Perform clerical duties on nursing units, including maintaining patient records, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of clerical experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Conditions of Employment:

Since this role involves contact with children in care, supervision, or training, the candidate must meet requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including background checks (Pennsylvania State Police, Department of Welfare child abuse clearance, FBI fingerprint check). Employment will commence only after satisfactory completion of these checks.

Covid vaccination is required for employment at Jefferson’s clinical entities or at the University, unless an approved medical or religious exemption is obtained.
