Corewell Health is seeking a Unit Secretary for Trenton Hospital's Surgery department. This role involves managing non-clinical patient care tasks and requires a high school diploma along with preferred training as a Unit Secretary. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth within a Magnet-designated facility.
The shift would either be 6a to 3p Monday through Sunday or 3p to 7:30p Monday through Friday, depending on needs. Weekends would be variable, usually one every 4 weeks. This is not a part-time position and does not include benefits.

This is the main Operating Room/POHA/PACU area, which has 6 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms.

It is a recipient of the Truven Health Advantage Award for Health and Clinical Outcomes and hosts nine university-affiliated residency programs. The hospital features a Level II trauma center and specializes in heart, vascular, pulmonary, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and women’s health.
Scope of Work
The Unit Secretary manages non-clinical patient care aspects, including communication and clerical tasks, ordering and stocking supplies, coordinating repairs, and acting as a liaison within and outside the department.
