This is an entry-level position responsible for processing all release of information (ROI), specifically medical record requests, in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and providing customers with the highest quality product and customer service. The associate must always safeguard and protect the patient’s right to privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to the patient’s medical information and that all releases of information comply with requests, authorization, company policy, and HIPAA regulations.

What We’re Looking For
  • Strong customer service and clerical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume environment
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Willing to learn and grow within Datavant
You Will
  • Process requests for patient health information per policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information
  • Stay updated on company and facility software
  • Follow conduct and policy guidelines
  • Report work issues or volume fluctuations to management
  • Assist with additional duties as needed
  • Apply medical privacy regulations to prevent unauthorized disclosures
  • Manage and safeguard patient records in compliance with HIPAA
  • Prepare and organize patient charts, gather documents from paper/electronic sources
  • Create digital images of paperwork for electronic records
  • Respond to and transmit patient record requests within and outside the facility
  • Handle inbound/outbound calls, assist with walk-ins, and perform administrative tasks
  • Meet productivity expectations
  • Schedule pickups if needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring
