Job summary

Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is seeking a Unit Receptionist/Patient Care Technician to support the Med/Surg unit under nurse direction. You will handle front desk tasks, patient transport, ADL assistance, vital signs, and basic care needs, contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, CNA/EMT or RN program exposure, CPR and NVCIT Certifications, and be able to work at least 32 hours per week, with a focus on compassionate, professional

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification or completion of one year of clinical experience in accredited RN nursing program, or EMT-B, or equivalent required.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
• Current NVCIT certification or within 3 months of hire required.
• Must work a minimum of 32 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with front desk patient management and unit administrative tasks.
• Provide basic patient care such as bathing, feeding, ADL assistance, and vital signs.
• Assist nurse with patient activities and planning of care.
• Transport patients and support safe patient movement.
• Transcribe physician orders and complete required forms and communications as assigned.
• Maintain alert, professional interpersonal communication with patients and staff.
