Job summary

Day Kimball Health is hiring an Unit Receptionist/Patient Care Technician for the Med/Surg Department in Putnam, CT. Evening Shift, 24 Hours.

The UR/PCT will perform unit clerical duties, support patient activities under nurse direction, assist with ADL, vital signs, and transport, while maintaining safety and clear communication. CNA/EMT-B/ RN clinical experience and CPR/NVCIT certifications are required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CNA certification, EMT-B, or RN clinical experience is required.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification within 3 months of hire is required.
• Current NVCIT certification within 3 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Meet the physical demands of the position.
• Cope with and function under stress.
• Meet unit skill certification requirements.
• Remain alert and in visual contact with the patient.
• Assist patients with daily activities as directed by the nurse.
• Assist the nurse with restraints as needed.
• Complete forms, requisitions, communications and projects; transcribe orders when applicable.
• Assist with ADL, vital signs, and care plans.
