Job summary

Frostburg Rehab Center is seeking a Unit Manager and Wound Nurse to oversee daily unit operations and provide expert wound care. You will supervise nursing staff, coordinate patient care, and ensure regulatory compliance while leveraging clinical wound care skills to improve patient outcomes.

The role requires Maryland or multi-state LPN/RN licensure, CPR certification, and at least one year in long-term or geriatric care. Flexibility and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical nurse or registered nurse in good standing with Maryland or multi-state license.
• Minimum one year of experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff to ensure high quality patient care.
• Assist with admissions, readmissions, and transfers between rooms.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Perform wound assessments, develop and implement wound care plans.
• Monitor and report patient progress and changes in condition.
• Participate in clinical start-up and department stand-up meetings.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and staff for smooth transitions.
