Job summary

Northridge Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Unit Manager (RN or LPN) to lead the daily clinical operations of a designated nursing unit and mentor the care team.

You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing and an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and smooth admissions, discharges, and care coordination. Wound care or infection prevention focus may apply based on experience and facility needs.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of your nursing unit.
• Coach, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Conduct clinical rounds and monitor resident care.
• Ensure individualized care plans are implemented and updated.
• Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and resident care coordination.
• Provide leadership support in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
• Assess and treat wounds and monitor healing progress (Wound Care focus).
• Conduct infection prevention activities and staff education (Infection Prevention focus).
