Responsibilities

As a Unit Manager/Director - RN within an assigned unit, you will support the Director of Nursing in delivering high-quality care, achieving positive clinical outcomes, and ensuring patient/resident, family, and employee satisfaction.

1. Lead, guide, and direct the overall operations, coordination, and care delivery for an assigned nursing unit.
2. Ensure that patient/resident care aligns with Genesis HealthCare's mission, vision, values, policies, and complies with standards of practice, state, and federal regulations.
3. Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapy, and other professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
4. Manage human resources in the unit, including minimizing overtime and agency staff, recruiting and onboarding new staff, assessing performance, and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.
