Job summary

Gold Crest Care Center in the Bronx is actively seeking a Unit Manager to oversee the nursing unit and lead the care team on the day shift. The role requires strong clinical leadership and a valid NYS LPN license, with LTC experience preferred for effective unit oversight.

As a vital part of our skilled nursing facility, you will coordinate staffing, ensure high-quality resident care, and collaborate with physicians and families to support exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership experience in a care setting is preferred.
• LPN license required by NYS; LTC experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the nursing unit and supervise staff.
• Schedule and assign nursing staff to meet resident care needs.
• Maintain a compassionate environment for residents and families.
• Conduct daily audits of new admission charts.
• Liaise with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Investigate incident reports and ensure proper follow-up.
• Participate in weekly risk and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Provide input on staff performance and evaluations.
• Implement and interpret nursing standards and regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment.
