Gold Crest Care Center in the Bronx is actively seeking a Unit Manager to oversee the nursing unit and lead the care team on the day shift. The role requires strong clinical leadership and a valid NYS LPN license, with LTC experience preferred for effective unit oversight.

As a vital part of our skilled nursing facility, you will coordinate staffing, ensure high-quality resident care, and collaborate with physicians and families to support exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the nursing unit and supervise staff.
• Schedule and assign nursing staff to meet resident care needs.

• Liaise with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Investigate incident reports and ensure proper follow-up.

Gold Crest Care Center, a 5-star rated facility recognized among the best nursing homes of 2026, is actively hiring a Unit Manager for our Skilled Nursing Facility in the Bronx, NY.

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee all aspects of unit operations, from supervising nursing staff to monitoring resident care. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in skilled nursing. Prior administrative or unit management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the nursing unit, including treatment and medication administration.

• Ensure resident care needs are met by scheduling and assigning nursing staff.

• Establish a compassionate environment by supporting residents and their families.

• Conduct daily audits of new admission charts.

• Serve as liaison between families, physicians, and interdisciplinary departments.

• Investigate all incident reports and ensure proper follow-up.

• Participate in weekly risk and interdisciplinary meetings.

• Provide input on staff performance, including participation in annual evaluations.

• Implement and interpret organizational policies, nursing standards, and regulations.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment.

Requirements

• Valid NYS LPN License

• Previous LTC (Long-Term Care) experience required

• Strong clinical background with leadership/management experience preferred
