Job summary

Skilled Nursing of Buffalo in Buffalo, NY is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead the nursing team in our skilled nursing facility. You will oversee daily unit operations, mentor staff, and ensure high standards of resident care.

The ideal candidate holds a NYS RN license, has LTC leadership experience, and demonstrates strong communication and supervisory skills to support quality, compliance, and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS RN License.
• 2 years Long Term Care experience preferred.
• 1 year of Charge Nurse experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle all supervisory duties for assigned unit
• Help establish and implement employee policies and procedures
• Mentor less experienced nurses, offering clinical & career advice
• Maintain the standards of care for the unit
• Review Resident records & quality of care
• Monitor overall care & review individual Residents’ cases
• Address questions or complaints brought forward by Residents or their families
• Represent the unit’s interests with the upper level management
