Rehabilitation Center of Belmond is seeking an experienced Unit Manager, LPN to lead the assigned nursing unit and uphold our high standard of resident care. You will supervise clinical staff, provide education, and help maintain infection prevention practices while ensuring adequate staffing and smooth admissions and discharges.

The ideal candidate holds an Iowa LPN license, CPR certification, and at least two years of LPN experience, with prior nursing management preferred.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered State of Iowa LPN license.
• CPR Certification required.
• Two (2) years of LPN experience.
• Prior experience managing a nursing department or unit and five (5) years of LPN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations of the assigned unit.
• Supervise clinical staff on the unit.
• Provide guidance and education to clinical staff.
• Help instill a positive and inclusive facility culture.
• Ensure infection prevention practices are maintained.
• Assist with resident admissions and discharge; ensure adequate staffing.

As an Unit Manager, LPN you are instrumental in managing operations of your assigned unit. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Rehabilitation Center of Belmond by assisting with supervising the activities of clinical staff on your assigned unit, providing guidance and education to clinical staff, assisting with instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, ensuring established infection prevention practices are maintained, assisting with resident admissions and discharge, and ensuring adequate staffing for our resident’s needs. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an unencumbered State of Iowa Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN license, C.P.R. Certification, and two (2) years of L.PN experience. Prior experience managing a nursing department or unit and five (5) years of L.PN experience is preferable.
