Job summary

Brighton Post Acute Care is seeking a Unit Manager to lead nursing operations on an assigned unit. The role is full-time, days, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in Boston, MA.

The Unit Manager will ensure high-quality, resident-centered care, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet clinical and operational goals. MA licensure (LPN/RN) and BLS are required; a nursing degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered MA license (LPN or RN) is required.
• BLS (CPR) certification required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor care plans, regulations, and quality standards for optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.
• Assist in development and evaluation of policies and procedures.

Range: $95,000.00 - $104,000.00 annually

Responsibilities for Unit Manager:

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for Unit Manager:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an LPN or RN in the state of Massachusetts.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
