Job summary

Bay Harbor Post Acute and Healthcare Center is seeking a Temporary Unit Manager to lead nursing operations on the assigned unit and ensure high-quality resident care. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and emphasizes clinical leadership and adherence to care plans.

Ideal candidates have a nursing license (VA), CPR/BLS, and at least five years of nursing with supervisory experience in healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN (VA).
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Minimum of five years of nursing experience.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure incident reporting with follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in development, implementation, evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

$95K-$100,000K/annually
