Job summary

Wellington Place at Rib Mountain is seeking a Unit Coordinator for our on-site team. The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, care planning, staff training, and floor coverage during shortages, with rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities include working with the Care Coordinator and Administrator, managing calls, rounds, and incident reporting, and ensuring safety and compliance across the facility.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years working as CNA/RA with management experience or oversight of others.
• Training in fire safety, first aid, Block I, and/or CNA certification and the basic skills to perform as Unit Coordinator.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Wellington Place at Rib Mountain policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and care planning.
• Assist Care Coordinator and Administrator on the floor as needed.
• Answer phones promptly and direct calls to the correct supervisor.
• Walk rounds at start, during, and before end of shifts; monitor safety and incident reporting.
• Lead staff to complete duties efficiently and reduce idle time; provide guidance.
• Support investigations with Care Coordinator as needed and communicate findings.

Location: Wellington Place at Rib Mountain – Rib Mountain, WI (On-site)

Status: Full-Time

Schedule: Days | Monday - Friday | Every other weekend and rotating holidays

Job Summary:

The Unit Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations including but not limited to: care planning, change of status, med changes, anything resident related, training of new staff, assist with staff performance review, Inspection Binder for fire drills, elopement drills, emergency disaster drills, and working the floor as needed due to shortage of staff alternating shifts and on-call.

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour, dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Work alongside Care Coordinator and Administrator in the operations of the facility and to assist as needed.

• Answering the telephones in a timely and professional manner and directing calls to correct supervisor.
• Do walking rounds at the beginning, during and before you leave.
• All duties as described in CNA/RA job description regarding all resident care needs.
• Report to work for any of the following
  • Emergency issues
  • Shortage of staff
  • Work any shift where needed
  • No-call, No-shows
  • To assist Care Coordinator on investigations if needed
• Giving direction to staff so that they are completing their job duties and avoid idle time and offering insight of more efficient ways to perform job duties.
• Follow-up with Administrator and/or Care Coordinator on any issues that arise daily.
• Maintains a safe and secure working/living environment by monitoring staff, building maintenance and housekeeping.
• Assist Care Coordinator with employee evaluation on a 90 day and annual basis.

Enforce safety issues; gait belts, Pal-Lift, and Hoyer. Ensure that staff fills out incident reports, assist with incidents reports as needed.

Qualifications:

Must have at least 3-5 years working as a CNA/RA, with management experience or oversight of other co-workers

Must have training in fire safety, first aid, Block I, and/or CNA certified and the basic skills set needed in order to perform the job of a Unit Coordinator

Comprehensive knowledge of the Wisconsin Illinois Senior Housing dba Wellington Place at Rib Mountain Policies and Procedures.

• Basic knowledge of administration, supervision, management principles and practices including organization, procedural techniques, decision making, and management controls.

Basic knowledge of dysfunction, dementia, Alzheimer, and social problems.

• Ability to plan, organize, assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of others.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to serve as a leader and as a positive role model for internal and external customers.
• Knowledge in computers, which includes all Microsoft products

Must have at least 3-5 years working as a C.N.A. / R.A., with management experience or oversight of other co-workers

Trained in fire safety, first aid, Block I, and or C.N.A. certified and the basic skills set needed in order to perform the job of a Unit Coordinator.
