Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth is seeking a part-time Unit Receptionist for the Nursing Unit in Plymouth, MA. The role involves answering phones, greeting visitors, delivering specimens, and maintaining medical records on the unit.

The ideal candidate has medical terminology training, strong clerical skills, and prefers experience with EPIC and unit coordination. 16 hours per week, day shift, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current knowledge of Medical Terminology – course completed within the past 2 years or equivalent competency.
• Ability to perform a variety of clerical duties.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well in stressful situations.
• Graduate of medical assistant/secretary program with 6-12 months experience preferred.
• Previous Unit Coordinator experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unit Receptionist responsibilities: telephone, visitor assistance, specimen delivery, phone calls, mail distribution.
• Maintenance of the medical records located on the Nursing Unit.
• Perform clerical duties on the Nursing Unit as required.
• Transcribe information & medication orders into electronic medical system accurately.
