Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Pool Unit Clerk to support nursing and medical staff by handling clerical tasks and patient flow on the unit. You will gather admissions, discharges, and transfers, maintain the unit, and ensure a safe environment while utilizing technology and communicating effectively with the care team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet, welcome, assist, and direct patients, families, and staff with courtesy.
• Perform daily census reconciliations and enter charges accurately and timely.
• Advocate for patient rights and communicate issues to the Charge Nurse/Unit Director.
• Make rounds to verify census accuracy and patient safety measures.
• Coordinate patient transportation via Teletracking system.
• Assist patients with accessing the patient portal and email setup if needed.
• Assemble and manage health records from admission to discharge.
• Record admissions/transfers/discharges and update computer systems.
