The Unit Clerk is a vital part of the Med/Surg team, providing clerical and communication support that helps ensure smooth department operations and exceptional patient care. This role serves as a central point of contact for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff while supporting admissions, discharges, patient records, and daily unit coordination in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys supporting both patients and clinical teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, along with familiarity with clerical processes and electronic health record systems commonly used in healthcare settings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, electronic health records, and healthcare software systems, with the ability to become proficient in hospital platforms within six (6) months of hire.
