NewYork-Presbyterian-Queens is seeking a Unit Clerk for the Med Surg/Tele department. The role supports patient care, answers questions, greets visitors, and ensures smooth clerical flow at the nursing station. You will coordinate requests, answer phones, and assist staff in a fast-paced environment.

The Full Time Night shift (11 PM–7 AM) offers 37.5 hours per week with rotating weekends and holidays. Requires HS diploma, 1 year clerical experience, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year clerical and keyboard experience.
• MS Office proficiency (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsabilités

• Coordinate patient requests and perform general clerical duties at the unit nursing station.
• Welcome and direct visitors and hospital colleagues to appropriate areas.
• Answer phones on your unit and page nurses as needed.
• Sign for important medical deliveries.
• Maintain courteous, respectful demeanor while multitasking.

Preferred Criteria

• Experience in a hospital setting

Required Criteria

• HS Diploma or Equivalency
• 1 year of clerical and computer keyboard experience
• Knowledge of computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and courteously with staff, patients, and visitors

Salary Range: $26.64-$28.30/Hourly
