NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens in Flushing, NY is seeking a Part Time Evening Unit Clerk for the 6 North Med Surg/Tele team. You will greet visitors, answer questions, and help keep patient information flowing in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications include HS Diploma or Equivalency, 1 year of clerical and keyboard experience, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Evening shift is 22.5 hours per week, with weekends and holidays rotation.

Unit Clerk – 6 North - Part Time Evening

Make a lasting impression on patients at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens as a Unit Clerk with our Med Surg/Tele department. Assist patients with questions and concerns. Keep families informed. Coordinate patient requests and perform general clerical duties at the unit nursing station to assure the timely, efficient and accurate flow of patient information. Welcome and direct visitors and hospital colleagues to appropriate areas. Page nurses and answer phones on your unit. Sign for important medical deliveries. Cultivate a courteous and respectful demeanor while multitasking between people and responsibilities.

This is a Part Time Evening (22.5 hrs/wk; 3 PM - 11 PM) position. Rotating weekends & Holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• Experience in a hospital setting

• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and courteously with staff, patients, and visitors
