Job summary

Quantum Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Unit Clerk for a Monday–Friday 7am–3pm shift. The role covers non-nursing duties, handling unit telephone calls, and filing paperwork in residents’ clinical records.

Also coordinates physician appointments, transportation, x-ray requests, and lab orders. Experience in hospital or skilled-nursing settings is preferred; a high school diploma and interest in the medical field are required.

Qualifications

• High school education is required.
• Interest in the medical field.

Responsibilities

• Performs all non-nursing duties at the desk as assigned by the Nursing Unit Director.
• Handles all telephone calls to the unit and routes them to the proper person.
• Files all paperwork in resident’s clinical records (as directed by Nursing Unit Director).
• Makes physician appointments and sets up transportation as needed, calls for x-rays, consultations as directed by Nursing Unit Director.
• Completes lab requests.
• Responsible for any other paperwork as directed by Nursing Unit Director.
• Use and disclosure of PHI to the minimum necessary to accomplish the intended purpose and is consistent with professional judgment and standards.
• Any other duties as assigned.
• Attends all annual mandatory in-services
