Key Responsibilities
Clerical Duties:
- Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Maintain and update patient records, charts, and files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Answer and direct phone calls, relay messages, and assist visitors.
- Coordinate with various departments to facilitate patient care and unit operations.
- Prepare and process forms, reports, and correspondence as required.
- Order and manage inventory of office supplies and medical equipment.
Patient Care Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist with patient mobility, including turning, positioning, and transporting patients.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Florida.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNA; clerical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Skills
