Job summary

Select Medical's Orlando Central facility is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate care in a high-acuity setting. The CNA will work three 12-hour day shifts (7a–7p) in Orlando, FL, supporting post-ICU recovery for chronic, critically ill patients.

Responsibilities include bathing, rounds, patient transport, hygiene and safety, with comprehensive orientation and growth opportunities such as RN scholarships and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include high school diploma or GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a CNA or related field (e.g., medical assistant) or actively enrolled RN student.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers and assist transporters with stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
