Job summary

Stillwater Post-Acute in El Cajon is seeking a Unit Clerk to support the Director of Nursing and Unit Managers by coordinating admissions, maintaining resident records, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout each resident's stay.

The ideal candidate holds a current CNA license, has strong verbal and written communication, and delivers compassionate, detail-oriented service for our elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Admissions: Coordinate the admission process, complete admission checklists, and assist with facility tours for prospective admissions.
• During Resident Stay: Maintain and organize resident medical records and nursing station charts. File clinical documentation, monitor physician orders, and prepare transfer/referral paperwork. Serve as a liaison between Nursing and other departments while maintaining resident confidentiality. Follow facility safety guidelines and emergency procedures.
• Discharge: Prepare discharge paperwork and assemble resident records in the appropriate discharge order. Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
