South Texas Health System seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide safe, patient-centered care under the supervision of a registered nurse on the assigned unit. You will collaborate with the Nursing Team to deliver quality care in accordance with facility policies and standards.
Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, BLS upon hire, and CNA or MA program completion, with LVN/ADN/BSN enrollment acceptable after first semester. Pre-employment assessments may be required.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides safe, competent patient-centered care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The nursing assistant provides care under the direction of the registered nurse. Participates as an active member of the Nursing Team on the assigned unit/department. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prefer experience in an acute care setting.
EDUCATION / LICENSURE:
High School diploma, GED or Higher Education preferred.
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
