Job summary

ThedaCare Medical Center - Shawano in Wisconsin seeks a Unit Clerk to support nursing teams by handling information flow, coordinating communications among patients, families and health-care staff, and ensuring accurate records throughout the care process.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, be 18+, and work a 0.1 FTE schedule with a 4-hour weekly shift, performing clerical duties in the EMR and assisting with inventory management to maintain safe patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the flow of information via multiple channels between patients, family, and members of the healthcare team both inside and outside of the department to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Performs clerical duties related to patient information and events within the electronic medical record that provides an accurate and current record.
• Performs inventory management including ordering medical or office supplies to guarantee correct par levels.
