Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia Campus is seeking a Part-time Unit Clerk to support the Birthing Center. The role involves clerical duties, patient chart handling, message relays, and coordinating appointments. Proficiency with Powerchart for order entry is required.

Availability includes rotating shifts and some weekend/holiday coverage. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be prepared to contribute to a compassionate, patient-centered team environment.

• Answers telephones and relays messages, making calls as necessary.
• Assembles charts for admission, transfer and discharges, post charges.
• Sets up appointments for special procedures as necessary with appropriate departments, as well as setting appointments up for patients on an outpatient basis.
• Demonstrates ability to utilize order entry, order modification, D/C and cancel orders as directed.

Position Purpose: Performs clerical duties by assisting the professional nursing staff by performing routine duties in caring for assigned patients in a designated area. Utilizes Powerchart for Order Entry, and is a resource to employees utilizing the system. Shifts Available: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am Status available: Contingent/PRN Every Other Weekend and 3 Holidays per year required for Full-time and Part-time team members.

Required Qualifications

Education High school diploma or GED.
