Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant role in Grand Haven, MI. Responsibilities include responding to patient call lights, assisting with personal hygiene, transporting patients, and maintaining clean patient rooms.

The position supports compassionate, person-centered care and requires active enrollment in a nursing program or current CNA/BLS certification. Minimum 2 years of patient care experience preferred; additional certifications (EMT, MA, LPN) may be considered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Registered Nurse Aide (CENA) in MI OR enrolled in nursing program with fundamentals course completed.
• Evidence of nursing program enrollment annually.
• Other certifications may include EMT/Medical First Responder, Medical Assistant, or LPN.
• 2+ years patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient call lights for assistance or by rounding.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, including showers, oral care, and dressing.
• Transport patients for procedures, transfers, or discharge.
• Maintain a clean and uncluttered environment in patient rooms.

What you will need:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Registered Nurse Aide (CENA) in the State of MI OR current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with successful completion of a nursing fundamentals course.
• Must provide evidence of current nursing program enrollment on an annual basis.
• Or additional certifications considered (based on departmental requirements) may include: EMT/Medical First Responder, Medical Assistant, LPN.
• Those with equivalent work experience and or equivalent training may also be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience preferred.

What you will do:

• Respond to patient call lights for assistance or by rounding
• Provide or assist patients with personal hygiene including showers, oral hygiene and dressing/undressing
• Transports patients as needed for procedures, transfers or discharge
• Maintains a clean and uncluttered environment in patient rooms
