Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a part-time Patient Care Tech to join the Nursing Resource Pool. This role supports patients, families and staff on assigned units, with a focus on smooth admissions, discharges, transfers and a safe, welcoming environment.

The position is day shift, 20 hours per week, with benefits available from day one and opportunities for growth within Trinity Health Ann Arbor.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to six months related experience; customer service, retail or clerical experience preferred.
• Shift: Days; Hours: 20 per week.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

The Nursing Resource Pool offers you increased flexibility in your scheduling, while allowing you to float only at Trinity Health Ann Arbor.

We support our employees with a focused orientation and training about our equipment, processes and procedures. This makes our float pools a reliable resource for our units, which means more manageable patient ratios. SUMMARY:

Under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager provides support for patients, visitors and colleagues on assigned nursing units. Facilitates efficient patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers. Supports patient experience and culture of safety goals through equipment maintenance, unit supplies, unit appearance and overall environment of care. Provides reception type services to patients, families, visitors and other unit guests.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Three to six months previous related experience. Preferred customer service, retail, clerical experience.

Hours: 20 per week
