Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a part-time Patient Care Associate to support patients, families, and colleagues on assigned nursing units. You will assist with admissions, discharges and transfers, help maintain environment of care, and provide reception-type services to patients and visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma and 3–6 months related experience, with a preference for candidates with customer-service, retail, or clerical background.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY:

• Under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager provides support for patients, visitors and colleagues on assigned nursing units.
• Facilitates efficient patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Supports patient experience and culture of safety goals through equipment maintenance, unit supplies, unit appearance and overall environment of care.
• Provides reception type services to patients, families, visitors and other unit guests.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Three to six months previous related experience
• Preferred customer service, retail, clerical experience
